I got my site on the #1 spot of Google for a key phrase that actually brought me some traffic. You will be amazed at how I did it. To be honest with you it happened by accident. Isn't that funny? It really is to me; a pleasant surprise, quite unexpected on my part.

In any case, how did I do it right? Let me talk about the site I did it with because it is very important. The site that was indexed was the blog in my website. This is very important because I you will have to use a blog if you wan to duplicate what I did. This is just another example of how great the power of blogs can be.

Here are the simple steps I took to reach #1 in Google.

1. I created a “vedio” about SEO. (That’s right, not a video)

2. I uploaded it to youtube.com

3. I took the code and I added it to my blog because I thought my readers would like it.

4. I misspelled the word video in the title that I named, "SEO Vedio", because I am a really careless person and I spell check when I fell like I want to.

5. I checked my stats and I saw that I was getting traffic for, "SEO vedio".

That’s all there is to it. I misspelled a word and I got a boost of traffic from search engines, people that are like me and cannot spell, just looking for a "vedio". So, make sure you keep this in mind when you are writing.
